Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine spotlighting upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.
My WoW pick this week is Jennifer Estep's Dark Heart of Magic, the second book in the Black Blade series! I absolutely loved reading Cold Burn of Magic a few months ago and couldn't stop gushing about the book to my sister when I finished it. In a world brimming with magic, monsters, and warring crime families, the Black Blade series is not to be missed if you love the urban fantasy genre! It looks like trouble is brewing once again in Cloudburst Falls and I can't wait to see what happens next to Lila, Devon, and their friends.
And if you missed it before, here's my review of Jennifer Estep's Cold Burn of Magic.

Summary (from Goodreads):
Something Wicked This Way Comes...
As a thief, I stick to the shadows as much as possible. But when the head of the Sinclair Family picks me to compete in the Tournament of Blades, there's no escaping the spotlight—or the danger.

As if I didn't have enough to worry about, mobster Victor Draconi is plotting against Devon and the rest of my friends, and someone's going around Cloudburst Falls murdering monsters. One thing's for sure. Sometimes, humans can be more monstrous than anything else...
