A 3 night event. 6 hours of television. Arthur C. Clarke's classic science fiction novel Childhood's End has been adapted into an epic new miniseries that will air on Showcase in Canada next week! From Monday, December 14 to Wednesday, December 16 at 8-10 ET / 9-11pm PT, you can find out what happens to Earth when aliens arrive...
Here's a bit more information about Childhood's End from Showcase's official website for the new TV show:
Childhood's End follows the peaceful invasion of Earth by the mysterious Overlords, which begins decades of apparent utopia at the cost of human identity and culture.
Karellen (Charles Dance), the ambassador for the Overlords, makes first contact with Earthling Ricky Stormgren (Mike Vogel). Karellen’s comforting words and amazing technological gifts quickly win humanity’s favor. However, Karellen’s refusal to reveal his physical appearance and insistence on dealing only through Ricky raises questions whether his intentions are truly benevolent.
And I did mention there was a giveaway, right?
Showcase has very kindly offered to give away a Childhood's End prize pack which will include a copy of Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke and a Showcase canvas tote bag and notebook!
